Peronsal Hygiene

In light of recent news around confirmed Coronavirus cases in New Zealand, ATT wants to reassure you that we are keeping up to date with any advice given, or any change in circumstances.

To date there is a very small mortality rate from the virus (1-2%), mainly with the elderly or people with existing health conditions.

The summer season is over ... and, with the change of season, more viruses will be about. Here are some tips to keep the bugs at bay:

Cover coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or clothing, or cough/sneeze into your elbow.
Dispose of used tissues appropriately in a bin.
Wash hands with soap and water and dry them thoroughly, or use hand sanitiser:

  • before eating
  • after using the toilet
  • after coughing, sneezing, blowing your nose or wiping children's noses
  • after caring for sick people

Clean surfaces regularly with antiseptic wipes or regular household disinfectant, including bleach solutions.

What to do if you are sick

If you are sick - stay at home!

If you are sick and have been in contact with anyone who has travelled through China, Iran or Italy, notify the Healthline - don't go into a medical centre, call first. (Coronavirus Healthline 0800 358 5453).

Notify us if you are in this situation so that we can ensure that your host and area manager are aware.
